Vehicle wraps use conformable printed vinyl to apply graphics across shaped panels and contours. They can be used for complete colour changes, promotional liveries or selected wrapped areas and are suitable for a wide range of vehicles, including panel vans, tractor units, solid-sided trailers, show and exhibition trailers, cars, buses, tankers, rigid bodywork, golf buggies, skips, bin lorries, cranes and construction vehicles.
Artwork and vehicle preparation
Artwork can be adapted from existing branding or created specifically for the vehicle. Before application, the vehicle surface must be clean and dry, at an appropriate ambient temperature and free from residual adhesive left by previous liveries. Vehicle make and model, condition and photographs should be provided when discussing a wrap project.
Printed and laminated conformable vinyl
Wraps are produced using a range of premium conformable vinyls. Artwork is printed in full colour and clear vinyl lamination, in either gloss or matt finish, is applied to all printed vinyl materials. This helps protect the print and substrate from UV light, body-wash chemicals and light abrasion.
Vehicle wraps are guaranteed for 5–7 years, depending on the condition of the vehicle and the material used.
Application and removal
Wraps can be applied in one of Sapphire Graphics’ three dedicated application bays or at suitable customer premises. Accurate preparation and skilled application are important to achieve a consistent finish around curves, joins and panel details.
Vehicle wraps can subsequently be removed, and legacy livery removal can also be provided where required.
Car Wrap Project
The project shown above involved a complete wrap of a Daihatsu Sirion, changing the body colour and adding a printed livery across the paintwork. Semi-opaque printed vinyl was also applied to the rear windows.
